As winter comes to an end Galanthus nivalis is a messenger for warmer and better times, winter requires a robust beer so we created this Barley Wine in typical English style like a signal that spring is coming. Galanthus Nivalis also has enough substance for you to warm yourselves on even the cold spring nights - otherwise it would not have been a genuine Amager Brewery beer.

In the glass Galanthus Nivalis is a warm amber colour with a creamy off-white head the aroma is full of rich caramel whilst the taste is rich and malty with notes of caramelised apples. There is a clear imprint of the 13 months in port casks, giving a soft and slightly oxidized edge, the alcohol you can hardly feel the heat is just gentle and pleasant.
